Excessively contacting someone........

I won't single any one individual out but PLEASE let me explain how I'm wired once and for all:

If you call, PM, email, text, facebook etc etc ONE TIME, I get the message. The machine works well, they designed it that it blinks and haunts you until you hit the MO FO "delete" button.

Sometimes AS STRANGE AS IT MAY SEEM, I don't feel like calling back immediately and or don't feel like picking up the phone immediately. IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I DON'T LIKE YOU!! Didn't MOM hug you enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????

Should I drop whatever I'm doing to appease someone?? Is it OK if I work, sleep too much or am just busy?? I live here ALONE and I am a LONER who likes to be alone for the most part. Hence, possibly the reason for numerous relationship failures but THATS ANOTHER TOPIC FOR ANOTHER DAY :beer

In about 18 hours TODAY, I got an email (which I responded to early today) a cell phone call and about 5 missed calls on my caller ID with 2 left on voicemail, all from the same person.

Are you in jail? Are you broke down? Do you need immediate assistance? If so, please SAY so on your distressed communications and I will SURELY do my best to immediately respond and help you.

I also do not like the Seinfeld "Drop In". I'm home doing my thing which may be sleeping, playing video games, cleaning, viewing porn or any other activity I choose to partake in.

Just because you see a NEW post or reply on 3WW from DIRTCRASHER, it does not mean I'M AVAILABLE and I want to CHAT on the phone, thru PM or otherwise. Hit me up, but if I don't respond, please don't be insestuous.

Just because I'm home that does not mean I want "visitors" in which I have to go outside and hang out for 10 minutes just to be polite. I do not stop at other people's homes without calling first nor do I contact them 7 times in 18 hours and them ASSUME they don't like me because they ignored me.

All you guys have my number, call first, if I don't answer - STAY THE F*** AWAY!! A simple call then or the night before that states "mind if I stop by" will work just fine :D

I swear, my mother is bad enough but she's family. I don't need the excessive anal contacting from anyone else..... and I can name at least a half dozen people guilty of this.

I do feel for some of you fellas that do odd projects and have internet buisnesses. Mosh...You and I have discussed this very subject more than once. The problem with people is the instant info and the lack of respect. You wanna keep "that guy" from just poppin in? answer the door with a GUN....Its harsh, but never fails to make a point.(It's 2 fold if your old ladys fooling around too...they always run out to intervine if their cheating) NOBODY just pops by my place it's the law of MY land. As far as the call back...you'll get one if needed on a timely baisis...when I get time and happen to remember. I get the PM dude: In all reality PM dude hasn't got the money to buy what ever it is he just has to know NOW! Nobody with money is in a hurry...to rush a project. It's just sukky when people take it personal.....

I have the gift of being entirely self sufficient, unfortunately I don't work for myself which would be my ultimate goal.

I enjoy having the friends and I care about every one of them. I have and do enjoy riding, wrenching and just shooting the chit and hanging out with them.

But sometimes I just sit down and someone pulls in my yard or calls or PM's etc etc. And sometimes if I don't respond in an hour, they try another method of communication. Or then they just come over, which REALLY pisses me off. I had one kid sit in my yard and smoke butts for about 30 minutes while calling and ringing my doorbell because he wanted something sandblasted. Which of course, he had no $$ to pay for!!

And of course if I'm outside the friggen kid pulls in and "Steve, can I ride your 3 wheeler" AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Again, I would be right there for any of my buds, even remote buds, if they were broke down or something. But just because it's a sunny day, it doesn't mean I'm throwing a kegger and just because I'm online it doesn't mean I want to talk about your bearings.....

Believe it or not, my own mother gets on me for not answering the phone. The problem is she lives nearby, and if she wants something done it has to be RIGHT NOW!! She rarely ever calls a day before to ask if I have a chance to help her with something. It's more "can you come over right now??" but at least she bribes me with Chili, Lemon chicken and yummy deserts - she's not stupid :lol:

DC, you crack me up, I feel EXACTLY the same when It comes to people stopping by. I could be expecting somone to stop over, and as soon as I give up and say well I'll go Inside and get a bit to eat. Once I get my food, or a bowl of coco crispies (that I WILL NOTT EAT SOGGIE!!!!!) they show up. Man that makes me Maddd as hell. I had (HAD he will be back someday :cry: :cry:) a neighbor kid that would stop over and STAY!!! He would stay for the entire day. I used to have my boys tell him I was sick. I also parked my old motorhome In the way of him looking Into my yard. He would then ride his lawn mower down the street just to see If my barn was open. I started leaving the front door of my barn closed. Then I would make the mistake of cutting something with a cut off wheel, or air saw & YUP you guessed It there he was saying, I thought you were sick!!! The worst part is he was calling here inbetween calling you. I know for weeks he called here at least 6 times a day. I finally told the kids to tell him if he kept calling I would get him for harrasment. It cut the calls down to 1-3 times a day. Then finally the kids grew tired of him as well and no one would answer the phone after that. Took another week or 2 for the calls to totally stop.


Dirtcrasher, I am sorry for calling you the 300 times yesterday. I will cut back to 200-250 from here on out so that you have some time to yourself. lmao!!!!

Some times I am bad for dropping in without notice. More often then not I will call first though.
