hey chris i have a skin of one inmy livign room that trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro tried to bike me lol i was down at the pond fishin and went to get back on the quad on a hot summer day 3 years ago and he was curle dup on the floor board soakign up the heat from the motor. but not quite 6 feet mabey closer to 4 feet.

I've only ever seen the skins, them stuffed or at the Morris round up.. this one was as thick as my fore arm. :eek: and indeed a very rare site around here.

Is it true you can tell thier age by the number of rattles? I didnt want to get to close but it looked like this one had 6 to 8.

Actually it's pretty much the other way around. Most snakes are harmless.

I hate snakes.

We used to catch the rattle snakes on the cold mornings at the golf course. They'd get on the greens to sun themselves, if you got out there early enough, they were so slow you grab em with no help. Then put the small ones in a styrofoam cup and see who's man enough to open it and dump it on the desk. lol

I'll definitly be watching a lil' more where I'm walking when were out picking blueberries.. or anywhere in the woods anymore for that matter.

I had a rattler near me when riding in the jersey pines, several people from enduro clubs got bit by them. Thankfully the rattler didn't pay much attention to me. I seen a few cooperheads also. For the most part, snakes are afraid of you and try to run from you.
