ah the 86 carolla....500whp anyone?

I want a
Nissan 300zx twin turbo...mid 90s model
Early 90s ford with 4 doors and the 7.3 turboed with new intercoolers

And I've always wanted to have an old ford car with a 3.5L toyota engine in it boosted to all hell and back. Call me crazy, but I think rescuing an old rust bucket and doing that wouldn't be all THAT hateful.

400hp... and stay off the turbos and see high 20s on the hwy.

2. 1969 Dodge Charger - An exact replica from the first F&F would be OK with me.
http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt126/techmaster330/fast-and-furious-Dodge-Charger.jpg
3. 2009 Nissan GT-R - Not much for Imports but damn I love that car.
http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt126/techmaster330/2009_Nissan_R35_GTR_Skyline_by_Amer.jpg
4. 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Only cause that's my car .
http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt126/techmaster330/1996mitsubishieclipsespyder.jpg
That isn't mine but it's the one I'm using to model mine from.

And the 305 hate begins! Ive had a lot of people ask the same thing. I think the reason most people hate the 305's is because they were always set up with emissions junk. The 305 is exactly the same as a 350 except that it has a slightly smaller bore. That means I can use all the same parts as a 350 and make almost the same power with slightly better mileage. Its very easy to make 400 hp from a 350, and the 305 is the same basic thing. Also since the 305 has a smaller bore with all other internals the same, it has better 'geometry' (I know theres a better word for that) then the 350, in fact its nearly the same as the 454s'. Last, everyone and their grandma has a built 350, 383, 454, why not build up something different?

actually - I have always wanted a Chrysler Conquest TSI (or Mitsubishi Starion) ever since I was like 16. Someday............. I love the styling looks and they are plenty powerful for a 4 cylinder - rear wheel drive with independent rear suspension is a plus as well. I would also like a really really built Suzuki Samurai.

Oh yes, the Mitsubishi Starion. Sold by Chrysler as the conquest. A seriously fast car in its time. The originator of the 4G63 2.0 turbo motor that later powered the eclipse and the Lancer Evolution. It came as a widebody or a narrowbody. It can be found with a limited slip diff. The turbocharged/intercooled version sported 197 hp.

I too would like to someday own one of these as well.

There are many past cars that i would love to own. But as far a current, or "soon to be produced" i'd have to go with the 2012 Camaro ZL1. A modern interpretation of the legend made in 1969. Only better, stronger, faster and capable of incredible all around performance. Plus, it just looks right not being overly done up. A ZR1 Corvrtte would also be worthwhile of consideration, since in the end both will have somewhat close performance standards.

Silly aussies, isn't Holden basically just a rebadger?

tomyt175
02-23-2011, 04:26 AM
not even close chazz! One could argue that the new camaro is basically a rebadger, seeing as though it is built on holdens zeta platform.

Chazz of Blades
02-23-2011, 05:53 AM
Actually Holden is owned by GM, which also ownes Chevy, so the zeta platform, is not Holdens. The maloo is a nice truck though, it's like a modernized El Camino(also from chevy, I see a pattern here).

Sorry though, but true american MOPAR steel is the only way to go.

Also, if you watch Top Gear(the real one, not the american or aussie version), British Top Gear went head to head with Aussie Top Gear, and the Holden Maloo was formally stomped.......by a van.

Chazz of Blades
02-23-2011, 06:02 AM
Holden has offered badge engineered Chevrolet, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, and Vauxhall Motors models in sharing arrangements, with Daewoo, Opel and Isuzu-sourced models sold currently.

tomyt175
02-23-2011, 07:26 AM
It was designed and engineered and paid for with Holden's money, in aus, I would say that would make it Holden's, and yes, Holden does badge Vauxhauls, Opels and the like as Holdens, we are a country of 20 odd million people, hardly a huge market to build your own comprehensive lineup, but they also export models all over the world, your ill fated Pontiac GTO for one, i have heard the statesman is also supposed to be used by your boys in blue for squad cars (badged as caprices I believe) it's a global sharing market now, if a car maker in one country needs a new model, they can borrow from the global conglomorant. And THAT van you are aluding to was hardly what you would call a stocker lol. Another bit of trivia, the ute, as we call it, originated in Australia, it's need arose from a farmer's wife who wanted a vehicle tough enough to take the pigs to market during the week but with enough style to go to church on sunday, that el camino of chev's might have been spawned by the fj holden ute, not looking to stir trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro here either mate, just like healthy debate is all!

Chazz of Blades
02-23-2011, 08:58 PM
Actually, the el camino was spawned in '59 as a rival to ford's ranchero('57), to which if I remember correctly, holden had yet to do a car/truck mix yet, and the term UTE was meant for a plain pickup truck.

tomyt175
02-24-2011, 08:33 AM
holden first made a ute in '51, half correct with the term ute, it came about from utility vehicle, y'know, the farmers wife an her pig and church lol

I know of a Dodge and Chevy graveyard, there's over 100 acres of NOTHING BUT wrecked and rusted, good and bad, ugly and decent, running or not, old chevys and dodges. The owner of the place ships parts out world wide. It's absolutely amazing to walk through, there's cars in there that never made it past 1000 production.

Off budget? Easy.

1965 Shelby Cobra, all original, 0 miles on it, mint condition, signed by Shelby himself, with pictures of Marilyn Monroe having sex with the gearshifter, while at the same time discovering the arc of the covenant.

After I sold it?

House
Island
Skull Fortress on said Island
Trike Farm
Secede from the US, and form my own country on my island. Make trikes legal in mah country, have the big three start producing, and ship new trikes worldwide.
Helicopter
Your Mother
BAFT(Big Ass Friggin Tank)
A wall stretching across my island borders, made if trailpros, to protect me from invasion
A gun that shoots hammers
A fleet of MOPAR and other vehicles 60's to 80's, ranging from '65 Sport Fury's(awesome cars!), to Taurus SHOs.
A BAFC(Big Ass Friggin Castle), with at least a thousand acres of ridable forest and sands on the island
Gigantic garage to hold hundreds of cars and trikes

And finally, a military sized cargo plane to haul all of yall's asses and trikes over to the island.

I was just going to say a Viper..... but I like this Idea better!! hahaha

Dream car would be a Ford GT. I have been into cars since I was a little kid. Now If I could just get some cool trikes I would be set.

Here are 2 of my favorite cars that I have spent a lot time on.
1995 Dodge Viper, 650 RWHP, 800 RWTQ.

Cool someone brought back this old thread. Since the 80's the Year 1986 Porsche 959 or 911 Turbo Carrera has always been my dream car. We were into European cars. Had subscription to VW&Porsche then European car, etc., etc,. I had an Audi coupe 5 and Volkswagen Scirocco as a kid. I still dream of a completely re-did 911.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7b6QG3VZqA&feature=related , and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHJ3fSaSBfE.

Dream car? Just one?

This one, because my dad and I built it together (FFR kit 400hp 302 + T5):

133730

Or a repro of this one because I drove it in high school and let it get away when I joined the Air Force (bulit L79 + Muncie M20)

133731

I also have a thing for Porsche 928s, and Ferrari 308/328 and 512 and GTO.

A Red & White 56 Chevy with tri-power like my dad once had would be bitchin'.

And everybody should have a Deuce hi-boy with an 8-71 stuffed rat...

Mmm, I smell a click farmer. See those links in the signature? Most of the time you get click farmers making one post, normally only a TINY BIT on topic, with links in their sigs to places to buy gold, or gambling, or servers, or things like that. Basically people who spam hoping to get clicks on their links.

A Mazda rx4 with the last gen rx8 6 speed trans, rebuilt with carbon plated syncros. For an engine Id say a 13b running around 20 psi or a Renesis rotary with a 140k rpm supercharger. Ited be one of mazdas oldest rotary cars with one of their newest best engines.
