My Dad built this back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It took him many many hours. The hardest part was building the tracks for it. This dozer is 100% built from scratch. It has an 18 horse twin cylinder motor and a 4 speed tranny. After a 15 year stay at a cousin's house - it finally has a new home at my house. It is really cool!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of it. You can see the size of it in comparison to the 5 gallon gas sitting at the back of it.

It doesn't look "home built", he did very professional job, very cool.

What kind of stuff is it capable of pushing around the yard?

It is capable of pushing anything in it's path. It is geared so low that it is a real animal. What it lacks is a good blade setup. For pushing gravel or small piles of dirt - you can't beat it. Also very good for back filling and leveling off ditches.

I would SO build a backyard MX track if I owned that. Too cool man.

Not sure on weight - but it is pretty heavy - I would estimate 1000 - 1200 pounds. Saul - it would take forever to build a track with this little guy.

I will seriously try to get a video of me "dozing" to put it into perspective for you guys. Just gotta wait until it stops raining!

Hmm - maybe I don't really realize how small it is?! Either way, would be faster then me alone with a rake and shovel! :D

You aren't kidding!!

The first rough outline of my track was built with shovels, pick axes and my truck would rip out as many stumps as it could.

All my "friends" back then that promise to help were useless...........

ANY powered equipment is MUCHO welcomed :D

If you rip out the stumps and trees, a few weekends of a Bobcat rental can do wonders. But, dirt is very expensive too. Just one nice jump can eat up 400$ worth of dirt if you want a landing pad.

Anyhow, that is a super sweet machine!!, apparently DAD liked to tinker. Very very cool IMO!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to see a video of it in action :D
