I just got my hands on an old Yamaha YZ80. Not sure about the year, but its either an '81, '82, or '83. One thing I have no clue about is the mix ratio for the fuel. The manual is long gone. Anyone know?

Buy a good quality oil, IE: YamaLube, and mix it at 32:1. Also, buy a ratiorite cup so it's easy to mix with.

yamalube leaves a bunch of carbon build-up on your piston (dont use it)

I'd say no since it is intended to be mixed at 100:1!! It does say that "severe service" or racing it should be mixed at a ratio as rich as 50:1. I mix it at 85:1 for my Banshee and know of other people that do the same.

In my 87 YZ80, as well as my 85 250R, I use Honda HP synthetic oil mixed 32:1 with 110 octane race gas, used to use VP110, now Im using Sunoco108. So far that combination has worked well in both bikes.
