Honda TRX450R????

Hey people, go to ATV scene .com and check out the little section about Honda supposedly releasing their new sport quad on Sept. 10th. I'm a die hard 3 wheeling man myseld but with parts hard to come buy nowadays it might soon be time to get rid of my X. I never want to switch to 4 wheels but I'm sure some of you guys are in my same boat. I like to ride with my friends, who all have 400EX's, Raptor's, etc.. My 350X still holds it's own, but it's gettin to be "tired iron" . Parts are hard to come by or discontinued. I like to maintain my machine in tip top shape when I can, but it sure is getting harder. So anyways, I hope this is Honda's answer to all our prayers, I new "Big Red" wouldn't let us down.

hopefully the motor will be availible seperatly. it would be a lot easier to use this motor for a trike then the narrow CR motor.

I figured this was semi important enough for it to stay in the open forum for a little bit, being as its only their second race quality quad they've ever came out with. Nothing against the 400ex or any others, but they aren't race only designed machines like the 250R is/was.

I talked with a local dealership and its all true its a 4 stroke 450R they said they will have it in early september from what i hear they are going to be pretty tough maybe even a contender for the ytz 450

I raced a yzf450 on my R the other day and he beat me up to 4th gear, after that I started to catch up...he turned off tight after I hit 5th, I don't think they are that fast unless your on a track.

check out the new dirt wheels issue. pretty good article. they say the honda 450 engine might be able to be equal with the yamaha's 450 but not beat it. (considering they use the dirtbike 450) dirtbikers may know some more about this.
