View Full Version : how do i get rid of scratches on my motor?

anyone know of any thing that is good for taking out scratches, the motor on my 70 has lots of scratches and wanted to get rid of them, anyone know of a spray or anything? thanks

sandpaper to make it rough and then spray a hi-temp acrylyc engine enamel (i got mine from NAPA) MAKE SURE IT IS GAS AND OIL RESISTANT!! ;)

can i use that stuff that is used on cars? that you rub it with the product and it goes away?

i wouldnt....engines get hot.....car panels dont :? that stuff will prob just fry right back off

what about on parts that dont get hot? like swingarms, frames, stuff like that.

go for it ;) but i would keep it away form anythign that gets hot, but you might wanna see what happenes to it when you get say....gas on it or oil :? make sure that it doesnt soak in and make a stain that you cant get off or worse
