We finished signing and paying for our new house. This is our first home and now I am paying towards something rather than renting. 4bd, 1bath, back yard desk, almost an acres in size. 1700ft house and a single car detached garage that is going to become my shop (Small but better then working on stuff in the yard). Scored from the city for $164,000. Market was so bad here thats what it was appriased for currently. In the exact same state 2 years ago was $275,000.

Awesome buy for sure. If you can get a loan, now is definitely the time to get into a home of your own :)

Congrats. It sure beats throwing money away on rent. The first year is usually the worst until you get that tax break. Best of luck.

Congrats! Yeah I am seeing the market and looks grim to sell. DOD is wanting me to move to Florida and I can find a huge house loaded for a song, but selling mine is going to be the problem....

Congrats on the house. Nothing like having your own house, not renting someone elses.

good luck with it, i bought my 1st house 3 years ago when i was 23 for $160,000. just keep some extra cash handy for the 1st year for stupid repairs. i had a furnace go out and that cost me 6K and some hefty plumbing bills due to old pipes not soldered so well.

Thank you all for the kind words. I can't wait till I get my little shop setup. My wifes 200m needs carb help, youngest sons 90 needs possible top end. A nice clean place to work on stuff will be most welcomed. Also there is a huge amiount of tricker treaters on our block now:w00t:. I can finally get my haunted house setup again. One uyear I scared some little kid so bad he hauled ass and left the candy behind.. :w00t: My wife made him come back for his treat, a bigger candy bar..lol
