wow...those home made repairs to plastic might not effect the over all porformance of the bike, but im sure mixing it at 20:1 dose..

20:1 is the correct mix ratio I believe.

my 250r says mix 20:1 right on the frame in front of the gas tank.
I mixed it at 20:1 but fouled plugs. Oil is much better now than it was in 1986. Now I mix 32:1 and I havent fouled a plug all year.

i dont think putting a pipe and rear shock makes it set up for racing..

the 20:1 was for leaded gas and crappy bean oil I thought. Newer synthetic oils and such let you mix way leaner and have alot less impurities in them.

lead was out of gas in the 70's:crazy:
we were talking about this the other day and some oil can be mixed 100:1 depends on the oil not so much the bike

i started driving in 90 and you could get ledded gas then. back then it was called regular.

I mix 20:1 on my R's and have never ever fouled a plug. Also the motors last seemingly forever that way.
