Were at 8.9% in Mass in October.

If it stays above 8.5%, we can collect for 99 weeks - CRAZY!

Believe me, being layed off for any more than a month or two is one of the worst things you can ever go thru.............

yeah, well people not collecting unemployment and people just not looking for jobs ARENT included in those figures. the actual unemployment is probably closer to 20% if you include all the persons that arent included in the national figures.

this is the HOPE and CHANGE that people voted for. it is going to get worse if this health care bill and cap and trade go through.

An article on yahoo brought up a good point that you also have to consider people that have been laid off in their professional field and had to take a lower paying job in a different field just to get by.

^ WELL SAID!!

Not to mention that they are now gonna tax my "cadillac health plan": that I was so fortunate to receive. It was under the American recovery act.......

Obama or "us, we the people" must pick up the other 65%, I'm glad to have health insiurance but sad that it will eventually cost ALL of us.

Best job I found was 16$ to start and that was until the main guy came back from medical leave. I use to make 25$ and about 42$ in the union. Then I got layed off, cell phone shut off, truck removed from my hoe and never heard from him again.

A job is a job, but 600$ a week in Mass isn't enough to live and thats with me driving a junk truck and never spending money unnecessarily..............
