I have a Crapsman Garage door opener and it has pissed me off too many damn times. The sensors at the bottom of the door track have got to go. I tried to remove them but then the door opener will not work at all. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the damn things?

You can't bypass that system, only thing you can do is mount them up at the opener a few inches apart.

Yep. A friend of mine did that and I'm thinking about doing the same in this house that I bought. They're nothing but an annoyance.

My father in law said he put them up above the door pointing at each other so they still think they are doing something lol

I just finished taping them together and mounting them above the door. But I would really like the gone completely.

At Amazon.com we taped reflectors in front of the eyes to keep them running.

My 2 year old fell into 1 of our sensors this summer and had to get 7 stiches because of them. Right between his eyes, dang lucky he didn't lose an eye it was so close.

I do not think having them makes my son any safer. If he got hurt on them like that I beleive I would just do away with the whole thing.
