I have seen it a hundred times people writing that guy was pwned instead of owned. What the hell does that even mean? Where did it come from? Am I just that out of the loop that I dont know these things?

A lot of this stuff is born from simple typos. The p is right next to the o. After a while the incorrect spelling becomes the cool spelling. Somehow it makes it funnier to me.

Slashdot.org was derived from the common typo of hitting the slash key and the period key together. Like this/. We've all done that one a million times.

I agree. Same with these kids and their "kk". Is it that hard to just move your finger over the "O" then hit the "K"? LOL
