Tell me about it... The last time I checked they were still available from Honda? I ordered one from Service Honda about 7 or 8 months ago for like $67 dollars...

Did Honda recently discontinue them or something?

That's the main problem with eBay. "A fool and his money are soon departed". You get somebody that sees something sell for way more than it's worth and then they get hard set that their item is worth the very same amount. I understand that an item is worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. But isn't that the beauty of an auction? You get emotional bidding, it's the only item like it offered at the time (supply and demand), or there's vengeful bidders that have no intention of paying. But then, you get the redneck podunk retard that has a similar item that may not have the original packaging or receipts and may not be in the same condition, suddenly he's sitting on the same gold mine. This is exactly what drives up the prices on our parts. There's some azzhat 4 blocks down the road from me that has a non running 86 250R sitting in his yard rotting to death and is the color of Malibu Barbie's jeep now because of the sun, that he insists is worth $2500 because of an eBay auction he glanced upon. It's just gonna permanently die there. Frustrating isn't it? That's just the way it is though.

The one that sold last week went for 174. .. half what the first one went for. Not sure if you can still get them...alot JUST recently went discontinued...like all the 250r fenders that used to be everywhere.

Yeah that's what I was wondering OC. I wasn't sure if Honda had discontinued those when the fender's went away or what? Like I stated a few post up... It hasn't been 7 or 8 months ago I got one from Service Honda. Will have to look into that....

They're still listed at powersportspro.com for $80 and at bikebandit.com for $83.

That does not necessarily mean they are still available. Many disco parts are still listed and they will take and process your order then tell you the parts are NLA.

They usually say whether they're discontinued or not unless these were just recently.

I agree with people thinking crap is gold. I offered a guy $100 for a tecate motor sitting on the ground in his garage. It was just sitting there I had no idea its condition or any specs at all. He told me they are going to $1700 on ebay right now. The actual truth to that is there was a tecate 4 motor on a buy it now for $1700 that was up for like 8 months, and it came with a warranty, paper work and new everything (don't think it ever sold). Long story short the motor is still sitting in the corner of his garage.

No kidding....every time I want to buy something now it's "well, I could make $2,800 parting this out on e-bay" same old story even on machines that are crap. People that use words like that don't sell on e-bay...they surf it once in a while...see a few parts remotely similar to the parts they have, and now they've struck gold.

I can relate, my northern brother. It makes me itch.
