Hello everybody! glad to become part of the 3wheelerworld family. My name is Joe, i live in central NYS. I currently own 2 '85 ATC250r's, 1 is complete, 1 is still a work in progress. I also own an '85 ATC110 that i am teaching my 5 year old boy how to ride with. I am a very avid and active member over on Dootalk.com, and also own 3 ski-doo sleds. I have become quite the forum junkie over there, so you can imagine my exitement to find a forum dedicated to my beloved trikes! I was shown this site about 3 years ago by my brother, and have swung by on occasion since. It was only recently that i found there was much more than looking at old brochures and whatnot, so i was only to happy to start an account. Well, thanks for making a place for us misunderstood trike lovers. I will be around frequently!

Joe

Well thanks for the warm and quick welcome....I have been trying to use a pic of my complete 250r as my avatar, and regardless of the fact i have re-sized it to be under size limits, it keep getting "invalid file" messages. any idea what could be the trouble?....So for now i will just put a couple up in this thread...hope you like! (shes alot dirtier than usual in these pics) Not sure why they came up so big, if any members or Mods are annoyed by this, i will glady take them down. Just let me know if there are unacceptably big. im still getting used to this site...Thanks for your patience with me. :)

Well, its not overly expensive to register and insure. And the nice thing is that they are developing an ATV trail system in Tug Hill and the Adirondacks. So that being the case, we are gaining alot more riding trails, and fast. I snowmobile in those areas alot and its awesome country. I just bought this trike from my brother a few months ago, so i cant take the credit for the build. I was/am still in progress on my old 85 250r resto, when he decided to sell his. I couldnt pass it up and see it go down the road in a strangers truck never to see it again. So i bought it. It has the durablue Eliminator +2 +2 axle, ESR 38mm flatslide carb, 1nder racing reedcage and reeds, and of course the full FMF Fatty exhaust. those few mods really woke it up nice. As to the avatar issue, maybe after they get done with site updates i will be able to upload some pics to my profile? Lets hope anyway...

well, i guess the pic of my R might be too many KB's?? i shrank it down to 100x75 but i still get the "invalid file" message. Soooo, i decided to go with my Dootalk.com avatar and put a reduced size pic of my R in my sig. Please let me know if the pic in my sig is too big and i will shrink it down some more. Thanks for the help Billy! Nice R BTW! ;)

Welcome - and nice R too. You will find lots of those on here.
I laughed when I saw your seat. We have a very active member here called Brapp - he will get a kick out of that try to barter it away from you.
Good sig too, how true that is....

ha ha! i wont be getting rid of that seat cover any time soon. My brother is the one who did the resto on this R and i ended up buying it from when when he, for whatever reason decided to sell it. So, that said, i cant take credit for the build and other nice touches on it, but im proud to have it in my garage none the less. I can tell you this, its not a skin deep resto. The whole chassis is as tight and silky smooth as the day it rolled off the line. He didnt overlook anything when he restored it. But anyway, if member Brapp is interested in a seat cover like that, i can probably get the contact info from my brother to the person he had do the work. He found her on the internet. The whole job was something like $265, but the color is as close as ive seen to original, without being original. The graphics are dead on for OEM styling and size. She did a heck of a job.

Thanks for the compliment!
