What do you do when you own a Harley shop and all your customers ride Japanese quads and dirtbikes on the ice in the winter? Slam a Sportster engine in a quad:

I've known the guy that owns the thing for years. He's a great guy and isn't one of those guys that doesn't want to know you if your not on a Harley. He always stocks tons of ice tires and studs for the quads and trikes in the winter time.

So how does that thing do in ice races? I would guess its to heavy with to much weight on the front to be very good.

I don't know. Yesterday was my day to tear it up and he wasn't out there. Today was my day to make sure the kids had a good time. I doubt it did very well, those things don't make that much HP anyways so a mild 450 will probably whip it pretty good. Cool idea though. It was funny listening to it go through the parking lot.

I heard of this machine from him, he's a nut case. I heard he studded his Heritage and drives it down the lake. Cool pics, cool bike.

Regardless of the performance, it's a very unique machine.

I heard that he lost it, and fell off, then crashed into my friends smart car, no damage.!

Yeah. Just a little spider webbing in the paint on the Smart car. Definitely not a good idea to be chilling in your car near the track. That'd be a tough one to explain to your insurance company.

NICE! I was thinking about almost this very thing this morning when I was riding my 200s, only I was thinking sportster/honda 3 wheeler, or maybe making a harley/lehman sportster trike and making a dirt/snow/sand wheeler out've it..... converting the 3wheeler would be less starting $'s I think....
