I love the Who they in my opinion are one of the greatest classic rock bands to play . Pete Townsend is one of the reasons why I picked up an electric guitar and started learning to play . Last night , well they werent bad but I was pissed that Pete wasnt playing one of his Les pauls and It almost looked like he wasnt even playing at all ??? This video is what I choose to remember The Who by . 4:13 you can tell townsend is more than effed up but man could he play , and 7:55 is what rock n roll is all about .

To all the fans out there in my 3wheeled nation enjoy . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp6-wG5LLqE

With all that work CBS put in the show (stage& lazers) it kinda "UPSTAGED"the Who. Also telling (making) them play a medley of hits had to be a slap in the face. The BEST of the WHO in 7 min would make me play with no feeling too. Thats not the WHO I've seen many times before.

That vid link was great! :D

I wonder if his guitar was out of tune at the end there,

Like I said in my other post, I'm so glad it wasn't Justin Timberlake, Miley Cirus, Beyonce or any of the typical halftime shows we get.

I guess it showed, ROCK AND ROLL IS NOT DEAD!!

for sure man it was a g0od change from the mainstream crap singers we have now. Townsend had to be one of the first to get all crazy on stage like that . long live 3 wheelers and rock n roll.

Pete is a kid toucher (or wants to be) and since he got caught with kiddie porn on his computer i lost all respect for him and the WHO.

Ive never heard that either kinda crushes me in a way he has always been one of my guitar heroes , man that sucks .

im not playiing anything that nice , I had an Epiphone Les paul custom that was sunburst like slashes guitar but honestly didnt like it , just wasnt a REAL Les Paul , and no matter what strings i put on it the darn thing would never sound in tune . But Im also a huge DefLeppard fan so I got an "86 Ibanez DT400 Destroyer . Looks identical to Phill Collen; one of the lead guitarist guitar but his is black , mines burgandy . It plays like a dream though but my next guitar is gonna be a Jackson . 0:35 into the video thats what it looks like .

Roger's vocals were pretty strong, but Pete Struggles a bit.

They looked and sounded OK, but sure are not the kids they ( or we!) once were.

Damn right that they were better than a friggin Jonas Brother or some of the other "canned" music from today......

I saw Def Leppard in the 80s and the Who and tons of other bands. And I got to say, the Who blew the roof off of the place. I also got to see Ronnie James Dio with Black Sabbath and Dio Solo. I got to see Ozzy with Rhodes on guitar, truly incredible. I saw Van Halen without Hagar. Dang I'm old! LOL We went and saw tons of concerts when I was in the service. Either Richmond VA or the Hampton Coliseum. I saw plenty of musicians around the Norfolk/VA Beach area. Joan Jett, Kix, the Stray Cats, Blondie the list goes on and on.

I like the who but I didnt care for the halftime show at all it seemed to be more about the stage presents with all the lights and fireworks and not about the music very aggravating

They seemed pretty freaking old. They aren't even American. I would have rather seen Hank Williams Jr. " Are you ready for some football'

I also thought the Jay-Z video at the beginning of the game was gay too! I wonder if he paid to get that spot, I'm so sick of him flaunting himself all over. Why can't it just be the eighties again. BOO HOOO WAHHH. On second thought, the perfect half time show would have been the Beastie Boys Kicking some Fight for your RIght!

I've seen Dokken, just got lucky tour, with Keel. Lep on the Pyromaina tour, Kixx used to play back in the day down the street at the Galxey with Cinderella,Tangere,Brittney Foxx. Baltimore is only a few hours away so Kixx was always in the Philly area. You Baltimore boys should know of Fuguzi. George Lynch is truely Mr Scarey. Hampton is the place to se a show, My fav there was and is Phish. My 6 string 57 les paul tv jr, my mothers. And speaking of the man who invented the guitar as we know it Mr Les Paul many times in NYC and the Stone Pony. God I feel so old now.

Cinderella is another band that i love , just wish they would have stuck to the style of music they put out on the "Night Songs" album , long cold winter just had to much of a bluesy sound . you might feel old but i would give my left nut to see what some of you guys here have seen . I pray everynight that the 80s will come back and that time will repeat itself . Tesla is another band that i love, seen them twice . The pyromania tour for Def Leppard must have been theyre hay day great album and steve clark was a genius . R.I.P

The fact that it was lip sinked only tells me Pete really needed the $ to recoupe from court costs. LAME IMO...I saw the 20yr reunion tour and wasn't impressed as the radio makes these guys out to be the British Invasion of Rock...Pete has always had a backup gutair playing on the stage so WHO knows what he's really playing anyway?

I was up at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for awhile. Good times and great music. Saw the Boss and Joan Jett up there also. Cindy Lauper and the Stray Cats and the Hooters up a the Philly zoo. We use to hang over in Jersey off Black Horse Pike. I remember soft pretzels on the street corners. Having fun on South Street. Hanging at the Park, under the Schukyll bridge. Eating subs at several spots. A certain freaky little spot called the "Morning Glory"! LOL Sharkys and this other spot on the corner where the "Dancers" did their gig. Heck, even Michael Jackson at JFK!, but I didn't go see that show, I swear! LOL Oh and street racing down on Front Street!!!!! The best.
