We're gearing up to do some work on my T3B cylinder. A good friend of mine does fantastic port work on both 2 and 4 strokes but I just wanted to throw a feeler out here to see if anyone has any first hand experience with these engines and maybe knows something that they like or don't like. I'm looking to make it more of a midrange machine that will pull hard out of the corners on the ice ovals. Just in our BS'ing on the phone about it he's thinking we should deck the base of the cylinder down some to lower the ports for more mid/bottom and at the same time it'd pick up some compression too.

Any suggestions on the squish band? We're planning on taking some material off the top of the cylinder and possibly the head as well to get the compression up around 210-220psi. Its going to be run on C-12 so no worries there.

Thanks.

John

No body has any suggestions on this? I guess we're just going to go off what has worked for him in the past. I'll try to post pics of our progress.
