89 TRX Frame

i just bought a 89 trx 250r and seen the frame was cracked after i bought it in quite a few spots just were painted over i found alot of 86 87 frames will they work on the 89? if not whats different and could u modify one to make it work?

88 AND 89 ARE THE SAME,., if you have a 89 you will need to get an 88 or an 89 only alot of changes ,,, can it be welded? if not want to sell it?

thanx id like to find a frame then i could gusset it then transfer to the new frame..... but my frame now is cracked on the say driver side on the far under rear motor mount and on the same side on the footpeg i could clean it up and plate it i got a mig and i know how to weld so imma do that to get by until i find a 88 89 frame ill put pics up when i can im new to the site and have been looking around...but thanx for the info

Even if you find a good frame be sure to weld those areas right away before it breaks.

They all break there so I would just guset it up the best you can and ride it.

yea i planned on that i seen they sell a gusset kit but id rather save the money and reinforce it myself i dont care about wieght really im not racing it so a couple more pounds wouldnt bother me aslong as it didnt break
