colored headlight bulbs

The other day i saw some guy with a green grizzly, i looked at the headlights and they had a little bit of grren in them, so i asked what he did and he said he put a little bit of green paint on the bulbs. it looked really good, and i was just wondering if anyone has ever tried painting they're bulbs.

Ya...my Brother and his friends put a light coat of blue paint over their bulbs to give it a HID look of the new sport cars. It looks awesome.

I think that a blue raptor would look sick with its bulbs painted blue.

You can buy special stuff to paint your bulbs with, get it from places that sell the tune up bits for cars and trucks, or stained glass window paint might work, I've tried painting bulbs with ordinary paint and if you get too much on the bulb is really dark and it generally goes bang quickly!

Yeah a bit of green on your bulbs would look cool.

I'm gunna do mine Blue...It just looks better for some reason and I've heard that it is better for night time riding :?

If you use spray paint and hold it far enough away for a slight coating...I think that would work well and you would still have enough light.
