I am now a mandated Peace Occifer for the state of Georgia. Well, kind of any way. I still have to get hired but at least the academy is done.

Congrats. Best of luck with the new job. Let us know when you roll your first "Code 3", High Speed Pursuit!

Thanks. I am sure I will, but in all honesty I hope to avoid those situations and find another way to stop a fleeing felon. I do not want to put others at risk.

when i lived in mobile AL, a buddy of mine was on his first day by himself (mobile city police) and he got in a highspeed on goverment street ( a busy street downtown) and just as he radioed in asking permission to terminate pursuit the person ran a red light and hit a car going thru the intersection killing a innocent person.

with the radios, cameras, helicopters, and all the other hi-tech crap they got there aint no need for the highspeed pursuits like back in the day.

sorry didn't wanna highjack your thread man, good luck with the job, stay safe.

and dont let them brain wash ya! www.leap.cc

I see them as a must in some situations. Keep in mind, not all agancies have all that high tech stuff.
