Are they any good? One of my co workers is looking for a used quad and there are a lot of predators for sale locally. He will mostly be riding with the rest of us and we all have sport quads/atc's, and mostly we ride in the sand. I have a 350x, a couple of guys have 400ex's, one suzuki 400, and 2 raptor 660's. Would he be better off with something else? I ask because I have ridden almost all of the sport atv's out there other than polaris'. I personally have an '05 sportsman 500 and love it, but I just don't know anything about polaris sport quads. Thanks for the advice

They are pretty good dune bike, and is a little excessive for tight trails but other than that it was a pretty good bike. They weigh a lot! If that is not a issue then it is a pretty good bike. I would own a 400ex over a predator any day. Light weight easy to maintain etc..

Probably just needs some carb fine tuning that wasn't done with the addition of the pipe.

I owned an 05 troy lee predator, I think it is over all the best atv I have ever owned. I also owned a very modded 400ex, and the stock Predator would eat it for lunch any day. I have owned a bunch of atv's and I think it was the best.
