Because toys sit and people don't drain the carbs or add stabilizer.
Also, "carb work" is an easier answer for something that doesn't run than the truth in a lot of cases. I mean, why would a seller tell you the cylinder is scored or it smokes like a chimney or the valves are burnt or bent and that's why it's been sitting long enough to need carb work.
Sometimes, they do only need carb work. Sometimes, they need a whole lot more...
thats what i was referring to. seems everything i see for sale that doesnt run "need carb tuned" "rebuilt" "cleaned" or its "only a $10 dollar part on ebay"
