Missle 70!!!!!!

KASEY
05-06-2010, 12:44 AM
i have not seen any good or bad reviews on a missle 250r. so i think i will build one so i can do a real good detailed review. i will have it ready for the invasion so i will get feedback from anyone that wants to throw a leg over it and do a little dune thrashing.

i am going to make the swingarm +4 to a stock 3 wheeler swinger. it will use an ATC250R just like the missle.. with the exception of inverted forks. i might throw a little bigger cylinder on it too,,,, should be FUN ...

(WARNING NO THREE WHEELER WILL DIE IN THIS CONVERSION)

SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT,,, HMMMMM

Missile Kits Are $1,250.00 plus shipping. I built one 2 yrs ago with a lot of additional mods. John Kite makes them he is the original desiner of that named kit. Let me know if you want his phone number.

Am now working on a 1987 250 R theme bike complete with correct stickers and keyed switch.

why the need for a jack shaft?

fabiodriven
09-13-2010, 12:07 AM
why the need for a jack shaft?

Because the back wheel is too wide to get the sprockets to line up.

KASEY
09-13-2010, 12:26 AM
yeah there is about 3 inches difference in the width.. i have it all figured out,, just a little machine work involved..

well it looks like the lil paddles are slanted and have cuffs... so if there on backwords, I dont think you would get as much traction, as if the were facing the right way?? but idk, ive never played in the sand nor do I know about sand tires :(

well i turned the tire around .. so we don't have to talk about that ,, but i did make some progress today..
the jackshaft is all i have left to make it move.. nice to have complete spare 250r's setting around huh? i had to change the spring,to a heavier one ,, build a shorter dog bone and switch the tire.. i got the caliper mounted and now i need a longer hose.. i am just waiting on a little machine work for the jack shaft and look out!! oh yeah,, put the new frontend on too... 5565

HOLY CRAP HAVE I GOT A HANDFULL!!!! this thing is wild to say the least,, it is going to be a ripper for sure , i have a few minor issues and look out!!

i rode it for about an hour , the motor was alot more tired that i thought,,, with a fresh topend and a few little fixes its going to be a handful!!!

hell it doesn't even need a kickstand... it just sets there in the sand!!!

KASEY- Wow. You guys truly are nuts. But looks like alot of fun. How tall are you? Would I be able to touch (5'3")? Does it launch slower with one less wheel? The top speed alot faster? Do you ever forget to put your feet down? Better gas milage or is it pegged more? Sorry, questions started pouring out because I was courious. Truly a neat machine, and you were like 'Ahhh, I'll built a bullet', like it's nothin'. I have a healthy jealousy, lol!

You did a great job on that! I was just wondering what is better than one of these compared to a trike? Did you do it just to have something different? I must say that it would probably do alot better in the sand than a motorcycle with the wide tires.
