The Great Wizard is gone, but never forgotten...

It was starting to rain
On the night that they cried forever
it was blinding with snow
On the night that they screamed goodbye

They were lost in the dark
And they never returned
Just like somebody slammed the door....

he will be missed but never forgotten, just remember every time you see/do the rock on symbol with your hand he is the father, the creator of the devil horns!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Dio with Sabbath on the Mob Rules tour in Richmond Va. To say such a small man had such a major stage presence, is an understatement. His voice was larger than life. I had 2 of his casette tapes while he was with Rainbow, yet to see and here him sing live was a truly incredible experience. His music with Sabbath was much darker than with Rainbow, but you could never deny his talent. Rock On! lnnl_ (Best I could do for the horns) LOL

Very sad day for sure, I think I owned every DIO cassette growing up, spent many hours of my younger years listening to them. RIP, great one!

Yup, he will be missed. Used to listen to him while heading to Silver Wood lake to go night fishing for catfish with my uncle. Somethings you will never forget. Rock On Man!!

very saddened to hear this. The first time I heard Holy Diver I was blown away!! Dont know how many times i argued with ozzy fans over dio sabbath. Heaven and hell, and mob rules were right up there with anything Ozzy did!! Time to blow the dust off some old albums and reminis!!
