Well i finally am starting to work on this project. I dont know much about it but the lower end will lockup when you rotate the crank only in a few spots. So im tearing it apart and rebuilding it. just wondering what kind of parts(a-arms, hubs, etc.) were used in the conversion kit. I have the name of the company that sold it to the previous owner but i gotta find it. What year motor parts are compatible with the 83 250 air cooled engine? also is the 4 wheel conversion kit any good. Is it even worth fixin. thanks

Phil

my advice is to put the stock 3 wheeler front end back on.

Since you are new here Ill direct you to the Quad Central Forum, where the issue of conversions is addressed by several people, and why it is no longer cost effective or practical.

I saw an add in the back of dirtwheels for a 250r conversion . I called them up for the heck of it . 1250$ plus shipping . and the worst part is...... that thing was butt ugly .

I have a 83 250r frame that will work with a 86 tri-z triple and forks. that would be a good start for you. I'll send it to you if you pay the shipping costs.
