How to ship big items?

I need to ship fenders/seat and then a dirtbike frame and some parts for it.

What is your best method of getting suitable box/packing materials and which carrier/service do you use?

parcel post from the post office is the cheapest way i have used to ship fenders..

Any rough idea on how much to ship a set? I know size/weight and location matters, but just a ballpark if $18 or $55 or anything more/less.

$50+ I shipped a set UPS in a box I made. Once you get to a certain size box, UPS charges by the size of the box instead of the weight and it aint cheap, USPS quoted nearly $100.

As I recall, the box was something like 33x33x18.

I hope you can come up with a better way.
