I have a 1986 TT225 four stroke dirt bike. Took carb apart to dip bowl, put everything in a bag, and the bag disappeared.

Looking it up, it's a 26mm teikei carburetor. OEM Parts fiche on BikeBandit??? says its over $600 for a carb assembly. No, not going to happen on my $150 dirtbike.

Any idea where I can find one? Tried ebay, nothing.

Thanks

Anyone know of a carb from Keihin or Mikuni that would fit?

the ttr 225 carb will fit it

maybe a 26mm mikuni. lol (not trying to be jerk). I think you could just buy the same size but different brand. If im wrong someone will hopefully catch it and say something.

Walkerallen are you sure? And I think this is one of the old CV (constant velocity???) carbs, not sure if the TTR carbs are the same setup.

I would get an XT350 carb, and take off the CV dual carb. Plug the ports for the crossover, and it works great, I did it to an '85 TT225T. Very tuner-friendly.

Any XT350 carb? There's one on eBay, if I can get it for under maybe $50 or $60 I will do it. Was the conversion hard at all?

Didn't win that carb, sold for over $100.

Here are approximate measurements with a tape, not with micrometer or anything.

Side that connects to intake/cylinder = circle diameter 30mm or 1.25"
air box side = 3.8cm or 1.5"

Now 3.8cm comes out close to 1.5" when converted, the 30mm seems a little smaller than 1.25", maybe it's a 32mm. I must have measured wrong.

However, if it is 30mm, would I be able to drop in this carb, and just shave it down to be a circle for the intake boot instead of the flange used on the XR/ATC bikes?

I have an XR200R carb to drop on to try before buying, I know I may need jets but will this work?

yes im pretty sure the ttr carb will work. as long as it is like an 01 -04 it should fit the intake boot and air box boot

Any XT Carb, But '80 to '85 works best, it has that YICS, YIDS? system on it that mimics another carb, and it is all linkage so no throttle shaft work, only rubber plugs or epoxy. Also it has the same as the TT225(T) the same push-pull system, direct fit.
I never knew about the TT-R setup *stroking beard* i'll have to try that.
