The end of us trikers best friend

I heard rumor about it recently but hoped that it was not true. Today I got my subscription to Australian ATV Action magazine and got my hopes crushed. It is true, Australian ATV Action is no longer. The magazine that I got today will be my last and there will be no more.

This magazine was our communities best friend. They still had a section dedicated to trikes in every issue. I had pictures published and have seen many of my trike brethren pasted into their magazine. Thank You Tony "aussieduner" Hobson and Thank You to Australian ATV Action your magazine will be missed. if this is true,i will be sad.anytime you have to close up on a dream it totally sucks.i know from my own experiences.

Well ALL published mags are a thing of the past...If the CEO had a real feel for TODAY's market they would have a WEB based Mag that gets mass E-mailed out with Utube LIVE rides linked to the artical. The mag could have saved tons and the Mass market well is endless. Sure you can't read it on the toilet unless you have a MACbook or something of that design. Much like the future of all NEWS PAPERS, the cost to print has exceded profitablity, plus to get on Nationwide News stands and Mag racks you have to shell out to the distributer...thats $ out of pocket. Just think if you could get a 50cents from 1million subcribers who pay per send. As apposed to 1millon hard print copies sent world wide at $5.00 per sale BUT only 20,000 are regested subcribers and the rest go to racks/news stands that may sell 30% of the materail...then shipback costs?Remember the $ from sales come AFTER the MAG has paided for the cost to print/ship. I'd rather have everyone pay the .50 and keep the over runs and overhead to a minimum...besides the immeadiate coverage will KILL the old style mags not to mention the ablity to get instant feed back from your subscribers via comment links....One thing since the net I hated about the Mags coverage of...National MX for example...to get the run down CYCLENEWS was your sorce to get current info, they get that rag out fast. It's still a tad slow considering the WEB. The Mags are always 2months behind...Today's people want NOW, Live video examples are far bigger sellers than the action shot, plus the personal feel of being a semi contributer thur feelback.
