i would. but an old Porsche like that is just a old sports car. but nothing like we think of Porsche today.
yeah it might be a Porsche but don't let the name make you think its something special like a newer one might be

if you feel they are worth the same-ish than trade up.
160k+ miles on newer cars is alot. an old Porsche?

The Porche 928 and 924 were notorious for all sorts of problems. Ranging from electrical to tranny and drive train. They are still fun to drive. It is up to you. You have a project truck. Do you want a project sports car?

160,000 miles on a vehicle is nothing. My 98 Windstar has 238,000 and still runs like new. I'd keep the truck just because you can do more with it. I have a sports car, a 2002 Z-28 Camaro, and it just sits in the garage. I drive it maybe 2,500 miles a year. I'd get much more use out of a truck.

I love the 928 family, but a 30 year old Porsche beater is just a hole waiting to suck in all your money.

What's your goal from this trade?

I don't know your needs, wants, or personal situation but, unless you're just have to have a 928 for some reason, keep the truck. Parts are cheaper. Easier to fix. Cheaper to insure. Probably similar mileage. And you can haul stuff with the truck. Like old Porsches.

Nothing more useful than a truck. Well, maybe a van (I love my 3/4 ton van).

keep the truck, the body isn't the best but you have a beautiful engine in her. if you want to trade the truck, trade it for something good like a trike!!

This.. When the little things start falling apart on this (seems they already are) you will go broke trying to keep it running and in good shape. Parts will be expensive. Not to mention it's an automatic. In my opinion, a sports car with a slushbox is.. well... not a sports car. This is just my opinion, of course. You can bring up tiptronic transmissions and the like.. still no bueno.

I got my first car in nearly 15 years last spring to save on gas, I've driven nothin' but 4x4 trucks pretty much the last 20 yrs. If you have another p.u. trade for the Porsche, not a 911 or 912, but any Porsche is really cool, even if it's a little worn. Especially if it's jus' for fun and not a daily driver. I'd love to have even a beater Porsche, love em'.

keep the ford, it's a shortbed which is rare i think and a sweet ass motor, you would probably miss your ford if you traded and it's got a foot print gas pedal, joe dirt style

I can assure you that Ford truck will never out corner any Porsche. A live rear axle will never corner better than irs. Don't get me wrong, if you had the money and the know how to keep that Porsche alive it would be a good trade. Porsche's are great, fast, agile, cars.. while they are on warranty.
