I'm all about NOT helping the AMA...I give them as much respect that they gave 3Wheeler riders back in the day.
Not to crap on your thread my friend...they sould have a run what you brung true OPEN class again. Since the end of the 500cc the 2 wheeled 2 class event is all thats left, the AMA really did themselves in. No Pro-AM's? No crossover riders who Man-up and ride 2classes. How about local qualifiers to run with the BIG Boys? The AMA has run amuck with more political push for helmet laws than open land rights for public use. While everyones riding their 20,000+$ Harley wind in the hair...the offroad community suffers with little support, but where does the AMA generate more income?? on or offroad. Listen the 2stroke will never go away...heres the how they make the comeback...bio friendly, organic oils, biodegradable lubes, E85, Hydro fuel, low NOISE and Zero Carbon Emitions, you'll see.

All I know is we need more signatures because AMA is interested! Open class would be cool to see again, but if AMA gets this through, it is a step in the right direction. And with Maico making some monster 2 strokes(700cc) approaching a 100hp, I would love to see open class. This would also be a smart thing companies to make as it would also boost sales.
