Anyone have or ever had one of these? It was made in Milwaukee by Johnson Kart.

I've never seen a drive setup like this on a kart, some kind of gearbox and then goes to a belt.

So far, I've noticed I have to replace the pull rope, clean the carb, fix a flat and straighten the pulley.

Looks like it was made for a go cart track... (old karting business/race track)

It might be really slow with that gear reduction.

The gearbox is 2:1 reduction with a wet oil-bath centrifugal clutch, very stout. Those concession karts are overbuilt in every way possible, due to the abuse they would see at a rental track. Probably a 5.5 or 6.5hp Honda GX motor, again pretty much bulletproof. Should be a pretty good kart.

I was going to say that is definately a track cart. The "gear box" functions like a torque converter if I am correct. It was probably surrounded by a steel skirt at one time for when the driver slammed into other carts or the rail. My buddy had one as a kid, and they are bullet proof!

I forgot to mention it has a 5 hp Honda engine on it.

Good info about the wet clutch and the ratio.

It's definitely built to last and weighs more than a baby elephant.
