Hey there 3WW'ers, I'm Tyler, a new member..first time post-er...

My first trike ride was this summer and I immediately found a way to trade my friend Kevin a shotgun for his spare '83 200s...now I'm hooked and riding waaay to much for my old bones but the
200s doesn't have the "pucker factor" that my CR480R provides in spades...

So now I've found that Kevin's been sitting on a 82 250R that belonged to his good friend Kenny(R.I.P.)..who, before his young life ended, was in the middle of replacing the front end

..none of the old parts can be found.. but other than misc. pieces the trike is good to go. So I'm spear-heading a Kenny Memorial Rebuild to get this beast back on the dirt so all his buddies can once again spray some dirt in Kennys' name.

I've spent most of the night going through all the contents of this forum and don't think inverted or modified is necessary(or in the budget). And here in NW, my searches for 250R parts has found only overpriced, crappy replacements. Please give this poor white boy a few
suggestions on any crossover match-ups you know of..or ?

83-85 200x front ends will work and give you a skinny front tire,

have you joined the air cooled 250r forum? there were a couple front ends on there a while back

good luck and welcome to the boards

@rider1 Dang I missed that one all together, but the 200x info is one that I haven't had a chance to price out yet...Do you know if its less $/more available than the original parts?

Thanx for the welcome and your Eastwood pic is the shnyt!

I'm sure there are more 200x parts out there than there are 1st gen. 250R. Its a great option to explore.
Just make sure to get the facts straight. I wish I could help more but I'm not up-to date of 1st gen R info. I'm sure Saul (from the air cooled forum) will be a ton of help.
Hope you get it done. And throw some pics this way will'ya...

Can you use a 350X front end? I want to put one on my 82 250R. Drop your CR480 engine in it while you're at it!

T.R.F.S; Thats a stellar plan but next to my Trans Amhttp://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=90582&id=100000151000040&ref=fbx_album the 480 is like my "Dragonfly"(getaway)
I had to tell my live-in-worrier that the 480R "only goes like, 40mph, don't worry"...She"but its SO BIG and red" Me"I'll b fine, have you seen my firesuit?"

If you end up needing a front end, if/when I get a 350X front end on mine, I will sell it to you cheap. Only thing is the tire leaks slowly and is all cracked, and the fender has been cut.

I got a 250r front end -

1983, I think everything is ther but needs an axle.

Forks, on up to handlebars. seems to be in ok shape, I got it as a parts buggy with my 84 250r
