If a squirrel farts here in Missouri it gets the trucks dirty! I was test driving a 2009 and had some of the worst rust due to our road departments eccesive use of salt in the winters.

find a place that does the oil treatment not undercoating. oil treatment from new and your car will last forever. good friend oiled coated his 89 blazer it still has factory paint and looks new on the bottom 245,000 miles later still is a beautiful truck and blazers are rot boxs usually.

Man, I don't miss living in the great white north. Here in the desert, the rat rod guys will grind down to bare steel and just leave it that way, it looks the same 3 years later.

Thanks for rubbing it in..LOL

That pic ATC Tim posted is the norm around here.
We have 05-06 Silverados with 50 K on them getting all new brake lines bent and done..12 hours labor..It sucks.

There isnt a day that goes by in my shop when I think about how easy the Techs have it out there..
The only time you see that nice of stuff to wrench on, is the first year after it is bought...One winter out here, and the stuff is heavily dmaged from that calcium chloride they put on the roads...
Salt was friendly compared to this new crap they use.
If I can turn 50-60 hours here on rusted JUNK..I could prolly turn 100 hours out there.
Heating and AC work are the norms by you...And they PAY! And easy to do.

You can keep your tarantulas, rattle snakes, and scorpions though!:naughty::D:eek:

Yes, but they are quite tasty over an open flame.

PA is not that bad down here in the Southeast corner for salt and rusty vehicles. You ohio and NY guys have it way worse. Seen a bunch of 2000 and newer chevy trucks with rotted out cabs when i drove out to the OTC jam in ohio. It's bad in the north and the western parts of PA though.

My 64 will make you guys like your vehicles. I have rust on just about every body panel and the fenders are trashed, even with undercoating. I have 2 huge holes in the floor, roof is bad. I have put my foot through many an 80-86 ford F series, newrider knows, though his truck is flawless.

Good eye Syko! I thought that looked an awful lot like the mustang subframe and trans x-member... I can only imagine what the rails look like over the rear shackles.... (if its even still there!)
