This thing is fun to ride! It is a 1977 400cc 2 Stroke Twin. It has about 60 HP w/ mild port work and Spec II pipes. It is in really nice condition also! Gets the F. wheel up in the first 4 gears no problem. I like it.

I found a very nice RD 350 for sale here a few weeks ago. It is the orange model. This bike is mint!! It also has a small matching orange faring and aftermarket chambers also. Original right down to all the stickers, airbox, bars, controls, etc. Very fun bike, I rode it for awhile. I will pick it up if anyone wants it for say, $1,500.00

I got next to an old Yamaha street bike on the Interstate the other day. I'm not sure but I think it was the RZ 350? 1982 Time frame I would guess, due to the yellow/black YZ color scheme and the Silver "YPVS" on the side of the black cylinder. I believe it had Bubba Shobert's ??? signature on the side of the fairing. Anyway, the damn thing was MINT. It looked brand-new! All plastic shiny, all decals intact. seat was great condition. Of, course it was two stroke and sounded great. I drove beside it for a few seconds at 70 mph just checking out the bike and he took off like a bat out of hell and moved over a couple lanes to take an exit.

I don't know for sure it was an RZ350 or not or how it compares to the bike samster got, but it was a cherry old yamaha.

:-D

I love those old 2 stroke yamahas . I have ridden many . The throttle response is super too . The RD 400 also had a more desireable model called the RD 400 daytona . As for Jeb the Rz 350 I belive first came out in 1983 . They were all liquid cooled and signature models . It wasnt Bubba Shobert though (who was a fantasic rider mind you ) But Kenny Roberts . They also had an RZ 500 which was a liquid cooled 2 stroke V four ! Even rarer . These are some of my favorite streetbikes of all time ! Anyway I'm a fan . Ace

the yellow and black scheme is the Kenny Roberts model, they also made a red/white one that is a little more popular that they sold in Canada through the early 90's, the CN models have bigger carbs 28's instead of 26's...and put out another 10 or so horse. very fun bikes nothing beats those noisy, smelly, wheelie prone bastards!

i love 2-stroke street bikes. i have never owned an rd but am a current owner of a gt750. you talk about one mean bike. the 2 strokes screamers of yesteryears are getting harder to find so keep it up.

i had an 84 rz350,i put 2 dg silencers on it from 2 cr 250s[actually looked really good too!] it looked and sounded like a large bumblebee,i loved that bike! in fact i was at a local bike shop and guys there started talking bout thier newest and latest $10000 bike,i mentioned the little ol rz everyone laughed, the owner overheard me,and started saying how rz/rd's is the reason he started in the bike buisness.that got thier attention,if you look at that bike close,i think its way advanced for its time?? if i was still into street bikes,id have one for sure[with the correct exhaust...and full fairing!]
