f**K'in A! i have 750 engine and a 650 from old cb's in the garage.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the only thing is im pretty sure they weigh what a complete 200x does haha maybe next winter.

My 200x -cb350. It is awesome. Wheeles in 4 gears and runs about 75 flat out with stock sprockets on rear and engine. If you throw it around with your weight, (I am 250) and nail the gas it turns just fine. This trike is mainly a dirt trail rig that loves to be hammered in the straight aways.

The bad thing about 200x frames it the main section leans forward and you have to cut out the rear supports that come up by the carb. This changes the entire frame geometry. The 81-82 250r frames are more like a craddle and does not have to be cut out as much. My next creature will be out of a 350x or 250r.

The belly of my frame is the motorcycle frame. It is welded in at the neck tube and under the swinger mount. The gas tank and fenders are lifted up a bit and a custom rear shock mount replacing the dog bone gives it some lift in the rear.

Cutting the lower cradle and welding it in section to the existing frame is the way to go...

Eeek, just don't jump with it! Gotta be 50-75 lbs. heavier I imagine.

Some are done very well yet others are cobbled together......

You are right on DC. I have cracked welds many times but I have launched it also. I had a favorite dirt birm that was about 3' tall and on a perfect angle. It will fly but lands hard. I just reweld and ride some more. My next one will be gussited better. I learned alot about stress points and geometry doing this one. As I stated up top, 200x and 350x have the forward lean to the rear frame members and are not the best for big motor conversions.

I built this dog when I was 18 years old- 18 years ago. She is still in the stable and still gets run from time to time.
