It's the real deal. I remember when it sold a couple years ago. The only thing is, it's missing a few of the hard to come by Tiger parts. I have a couple of the bits to make this frame more complete, but It's missing one major component that I don't have for my second Tiger frame though. I guess it could be made. I'm speaking of the rear bearing carrier. Hard to come by, for sure.

Alot of potential there though. I don't know how close the 125 frame is to the 250 frame. May be the same except for the engine mounts, and heck, maybe even the engine mounts are the same, I just don't know anything about the 125. Except that there aren't that many of them. If the frame is the same dimension as the 200/250k that would be nice which means all the fiberglass repop fenders and radiator scoop blue27 has would fit. It would mean all my spare bits would fit as well. The big thing is the rear bearing carrier. There are options for the rear shock as well. Original rear shocks are hard to find though. There are even other options for the rear axle. I don't know how easy it would be to get a rotax 125 though?

I almost pulled the trigger on that a while back ...if I didnt have a 125 I would have......yes the 125 rotax is one of the the most challenging parts. Frame is basically the same dimension.....mounts are very different

It's a shame. When I saw this post I thought Veal or OC would have posted that you have already purchased it. It is cool that this popped up though.

Vealmonkey- The color. I've looked at the pictures and Tiger museum, I didn't notice the orange which as you can see in my avatar is my favorite color. Expain the orange. I like the blue and white, and my little girl wants her 200 auto-x in similar colors, but what models and years are Tiger orange?

http://sites.google.com/site/tigerrotax/home Thanks shortline10, the reason I never seen orange is it looks faded red on my computer, not really orange. But ya, tomato red. Now that I have seen this post it looks even more orange on this computer, lol, thanks.

I'm sure a carrier could be made, it's just if someone wanted to pay for it and had something to go off......
The Tigers (to me) seem like the kept the theme "keep it simple stupid" and then put an awesome powerplant in there.
All of the frames I've seen have flat plates, plain tabs, length of rods threaded at the end, just very simple straight up construction.

It looks just like a Tecate rear swinger section. Wouldn't an 84-85 Tecate carrier work? Didn't the Tigers come with a 4/4 rear hub pattern, which is the 84 Tecate pattern?

I saw a Tiger axle and it was nothing like I've seen ATC wise..... (allow me to correct myself, all of the big 3)
I have about 4% Tiger knowledge

Even though they look really close, they are different. If they were the same, you would see me telling everyone to be buying kawasaki rear bearing carriers and I would have one myself for my other Tiger frame. DC, as you know, you would probably be the only person who would possibly want to make a rear bearing carrier for someone else, unless there were members on here who were making a carrier for themselves. DC, you know what a pain it is making a single part and the costs involved and how much you would probably make or not make. As tempting as this is, the 125 is a really hard engine to find. And truth be know, I would really rather have a Tiger 80!!!.
