it's a very clean looking bike but i wouldn't pay that much for it, you could buy a fixer upper for under 1000 and have it looking and running for much much less then 3000, i live in minnesota and i'm looking for an 86 250R but they all go for 2800 to 4000 here and thats about what that Z would go for in the papers in minnesota to but i wouldn't pay that much

That is a great looking machine, but I could not put that much money out to buy one. I might end up with that much in one I built myself, but not just pay that much for one and still put more into it.

If it really does have only 10 hours on it, then I say the price aint too bad. Its definately on the high side though.

I agree,it wasnt that much brand new!!

Would someone pay $3000.00 for an 86 tri-Z with 10 hours on it??

If it were a completely stock/original trike, and only had 10 original operation hours on it, and I was a Yamaha collector, and I only needed that Tri-Z to complete my collection, and I had nothing better to do with my money......I might consider offering them something close to that.

A local guy just sold an 85 350x in absolute mint condition for 2800. The same guy sold an equally impressive 86 350x for 3100 about 6 months ago. I guess it all depends on the buyer and how badly they want (or think they need) the trike, doesn't it!

People will pay a lot for something thats like new. I just seen a 90 ski doo MXZ sled go for close to $2,000 on ebay. It had 13 original miles on it!! I should have let you all see it. The guy said he just rode it around the yard once in 90 and then it sat! You should be able to get one with average miles/conditon for about $800 at the most.
