well while youre here, does the 87 not have the "honda" thing on the lower triple? and what bolts to the lower triple at those two bolt holes?

the 87 has atc on the fenders, but only says honda on the seat?

whats the routing for the ignition switch? mine is there just dangling. if you wouldnt mind some hi res pictures here too, that would be awesome!

Obijuan...The 87 does not have the Honda emblem on the lower triple. Also, there is no 'ATC' on the seat like on the 86. The 87 only has the 'HONDA' on the back. The ignition wire runs next to the main wire harness along the left down tube below the fuel tank. It connects into the harness about midway down.

I think you meant to post this on the 87 Honda 250R and not the 200X?

Actually my 1987 200X is in a bit better shape with all original paperwork and like new, although I did replace NOS tires and seat ,switch and NOS rear grab bar . i wonder what it would fetch, but I don't want to sell it.

Oh Billy- You can never tell in this economy what things will go for. ebay mostly depends on timing. Some bikes get posted and no action and then reposted a couple weeks later and it goes. Should be interesting to see how it ends. If I were to guess, it will stop before 3k. Whoever buys it, if not local, still needs to give 350 to ship it which actually is reasonable shipping. Nice bike though. Appears all original except for what Donzi pointed out and that extra warning decal on the lower rear fender.

dirtwheels : the warning label is not extra . I have bought a bunch of trikes that the original owners still had that decal in with there paperwork .Not sure if some dealships installed them and some just included them with the paperwork when you bought them .May have been something Honda was trying to put on the bikes toward the end to help against the lawsits ?

objuan : if you want detailed pictures I would need your email adress .be glad to show details of how the wires are run .

code200k :Yes to date I have done 4 complete restorations on the 86 t3 and one 87 t3 .I have 2 more 86 t3's that I am working on .I am also working on replicaing some of the hard to find parts like the grabbar , rear fender stay ,headlight bracket .I have alredy made a few grabbars and the document holder .All parts are as close to oem as possible.I also stock "COMPLETE" OEM Replica decal kits for the 86 and 87
