I realize the odds are pretty good that I'm about to offend a member here by posting this. I'll get my foot ready to insert in my mouth when done.

Where do people come up with the asking prices in these ads? I realize an item is worth what someone will give for it. Ultimately if an item sells for asking price it was worth it to someone.

I look at that machine and I see an average machine in the $1,200 range.....$1,800 TOPS depending on the area. That's being nice for me.

My barn find X is easily in 3 times the condition of that thing and I couldn't even think about asking that kind of money for it.

Are there people out there that are actually giving this kind of money for something in that condition? Am I blind to the real world?

Up in my neck of the woods, all the real nice Trikes like that are listed at 3,000.00 and up. Although you rarely if ever see one listed for sale. Drives me nuts. Took me a long time to find a 350x to start working on.

I can't get over all the scratches on the front master cylinder, on/off switch, and side cases of the motor. To read the description you would think one was getting an original crated X.

Way too much.

I think it's rich that he'll hold it for you as you make payments of 350/month and pay it off. Guess he gets to keep it so you can ride it in the fall of 2011, just in time to put it away again. :naughty:

If that was one of my listings I would expect 1800.00 Tops in the current market .If it were a 86 it would be worth 2200 tops .Will never see over 3k for it unless somebody buys into the payment plan . If so I may try that angle lol lol

I think what happens is guys are trying to get the parted out price as a complete trike. Parted that might be an accurate price. It's pretty clean. It would go for about $2000 out here in so cal.
