My father in law has a 68 and a 70 Dodge Charger that have been sitting in his yard for a decade or two. I haven't fought my way through the bushes growing around them to take a really good look. I saw on ebay that these have the potential to be worth something. Should I make the effort to take a look or leave them to rot? I could probably get photos if anyone is interested in commenting.

Thanks

Being a car guy, I wouldn't hesitate to dig them out. Maybe sell one to fix the other. Then again, if they've been sitting that long they're probably junk, you should just give them to me!

if they are anything like my 67 fairlane that I posted pics of not too long ago, they are probably gonna need some metal work done.

at least take some pics. i miss my 73 charger. value wise if the 70' is not a charger 500 but both are r/t's and in repairable shape the 68' is worth more. setting that long theres more of a chance that they are rusted away but they do make every part for them you can even get a complete body brand new. most likly they are 318 base model automatic cars. what colors are they and do they have a vinyl top or did they. if they have bucket seats then they are at least se (special edition) which meens ac power brakes and steering power windows and some other small features. if they have a four speed manuel trans than they will at least have a 360 maybe a 383 i cant remember. 1% chance that they have a 426 hemi which you will be able to tell when you pop the hood the sparkpugs will be in the center of the heads and the motor will be hemi orange. would love to see some pics i would e able to tell you more and vin numbers that will tell you exactly what they are.
