Do these come stock with endless chains? I don't know how many links I'll need but I can get take off chains for 20$ but apparently I'm told that there is no master link.
I'll be running a 14 front and the stock TRX rear (38 maybe) but the motor placement changes all that.
I may rather buy a new 110 link chain with a master rather than have a useless chain.
Any input is helpful.
Thanks,
DC

From the service manual, it looks like they use a staked master link. It shows a special tool in there to remove the link and put in a new one. I wonder if you could just replace that with a normal master link?

Sounds like they peen them over to ensure it can't come off. I'd bet a reg. master could be used.
Thanks for posting that up
I'm down to a chain, 2 brake lines, All balls neck set and some odds and ends to finish my X :naughty:

I can confirm - there is no "master link" on an 08 TRX450r.

I will take it off, but then the metal is missing. You have to turn it 90 degrees and hope for the best. I can run a master, no biggie
Thanks for the replies!!

My buddy had a z400 one time and they had no master link so we cut it with bolt cutters
