It doesn't seem like it would be hard to add rear suspension. Weld some tabs for a pivot bolt, put on a swingarm, mount up a piece on top for the shock to bolt to, get an axle and line up the chain. And then set up the disk brakes. What problems are there to run into? It doesn't seem that hard.

Can a mod move this to the main trikesylvania thing?

Once again, If you want disc brakes, just use a 200x roller. It's a bit of precision so your trike tracks true after it's all done. Also, you need to get the shock in the right place or you will be busting shocks or mounts left and right. But when you can still find a frame with the original kit, why bother?

I am just pretty limited on money, but love my 185s and the motor in it. But then again I want to be able to go over humps without breaking my back. 200x rollers are hard to find around here. I looked at frames on ebay, and some of them are really cheap, but then you have to buy all the other suspension parts (forks, swingarm, shocks, axle, etc) and it adds up to a lot. I can find 200 blasters for less than 1000 here, but I really want a 3 wheeler.

i think it would work great if the welding was done right , ive got the 185s too and wanna jump as well but like you said its gonna be a little hard on the tailbone ,plus i gotta plow ,how would rear shocks effect plowing during winter , i figured a stiff frame would be better for that ,gotta say the forks with the shocks are nice to get on the front end though. lol you could make the rear end 8 times stronger then the original if its fabricated right too, tecate or drag style. i might have to try this if i get a good welder 4 sure.

just buy a 200x roller or even a $500 runner and swap in the 185 motor sell the 200x engine, maybe put a add on craigslist for a roller, unless your a very good fabricator once you cut up your 185 its junk then you still need to find a roller

Anyone still interested in this mod. I will have a "how to" over this next month with pics so let me know what you want to see. Its on my wifes bike. The trike is a pile of dung right now but has a Hi performance front suspesion set up so now it will have great suspension front and back. I will post begining pics this weekend. Oh for anyone interested the donor bike is a mid 80's YZ 80. My wife is light and depending on how I mount the shock it will vary the stiffnes. I am going to make it an adjustable mount. Cheers= )
