i was driving through town and just came across this today. looks like someone just rebuilt it. not sure of the year. didn't see the owner around to ask or get a pic of the motor and i really wanted one of the motor too. it has 6.6L on the hood scoop.
this is the first one i have seen in person.

Although I can appreciate the workmanship that went into that car, I must say it's pretty much an underpowered ugly 70's land-yacht to me. It may no longer be underpowered if they chose to build up that Poncho mill, but it's still ugly to me. I'm sure some of the guys around my age can understand. The fact that Edog likes it says it all to me.

Nice indeed, but they were lame by any standards during their day. Just mainly flash.

i hear where you guys are coming from on this, but it's still very nice and i'm not even a chevy guy! i love my fords, but i like any make, model or year of vehicle really. i wouldn't buy one myself and if i owned one it would be only to say i had one.

Nice car with great bones. Ive always been a pontiac guy. You can't compare it to the cars of today, totally different ball field. Id put a well prepped 455 in it and call it a day.

why not a chevy 572 in that sucker and call it a nice day. i have only seen one of those cars and thought that it was ugly, but to each their own. that is a pretty nice build however

i can tell some of you guys are to young to have grown up in the muscle car era, true the canam, last gto, chevelle ss, and buick skyhawk i think it was. were not true muscle they were the ending of a era along with the last big block sports car the 76 TA 455 4spd.
the canam is a extrtemly rare car and brings big bucks in mint condition only other makes of that year that do are the hurst olds, and the bb TA
i appreciate that car altho not my choice i respect its value and place in automotive history. cattledog

my dad has a 1982 pontiac grand prix lj with a olds 6.6 in it. It has some torque but it pretty sad with hp. Same with my friends 1992 chevy scottsdale that they put a 454 in, it has torque but no hp, a v6 camry could beat it.
