Ive went ice fishin around here a few times when the ice gets thick enough but never even got a bite.

Beets, what lake ya fishin'? How much ice is out there? I fish the Valpo chain a few times a year with limited success. But, 2 seasons ago i did catch the biggest crappie of my life on Wahaub through the ice.

We were out at Long Lake at the North end,the ice is about 7in thick. caught a few perch and a 2lb. bass on a tip up. Wahaub used to be an excellent lake but over the years, I think its being fished out. People around here seem to keep everything. Going out tommorrow, the warm up should be good bite'n...
