Well this should be interesting ! Bike looks pretty good and it is hard to find many flaws. The airbox cover and counter sprocket cover look to be painted ? Keyed ignition has round top key which I have never seen on a 87 .Have only seen regular metal keys on 87's

My guess is 6,500 final bid but you never know with ebay . Have not seen a 87 tecate on ebay in long time and to have a chance at a near mint on might make some guys dig deep !

I saw that, it looks awesome. I agree, it's going to go for big money. Can't wait to see how this unfolds..

ya kind of funny few months ago it was crated 250r with bid retractions and now 87 tecate that gets pulled , kinda fishy to say the least.

"well it is back up again " so the drama continues . The guy has added some new demands in his ad but did not explan why the post was taken down ?

so anybody else want to take a guess at the sale price?

113997Its final price is going to be high. My 87' was a mostly complete machine but still needed a fair amount of work...thousands to be on par with the one in question here and I still got $1650 for it.

Price already overvalued for that particular Tecate but because it is B2 and very rare in USA there is a lot of interesting.Othrwise there are more beautiful 1986 Tecates in USA than this one.I believe it is going to be sold for 5K.

No mine is not for sale .It is a resotoration tecate .That one for the most part looked original .
BTW ; Why are some of you guys compairing the price of the 86 to the 87 . the 87 especially in the condition that one was in is worth way more than a 86 in the same condition . I don't know the exact numbers produced but I imagine there are 20 86 tecates for every 1 87's. Yes they are basically the same model but for the collector well the 87 is the one that is hard to get your hands on

Agreed frank,

its funny tho to see all the 86's hit ebay after that one sold with people thinking ther going to get big money... don't get me wrong they have a value but its a numbers game theres just to many 86's for them to bring the money the 87's do... and ya i have an 87 thats mid restoration and i can tell you i would loose money to sell it for the $6600 bucks that one went for.... but i'll never sell it
