this guy named arlis has a 1978 chevy step side. he said it would lite all four tires in all the gears. he lives down the road from jay finch . he helped arlis put it together. now he says it will pick the front tires up about a good foot.[/b]

I think he means locking the hubs, putting it in 5th, Red-lining it, and dumping the clutch. Thats the only way I can see it lighting them up in every gear unless there are some major mods... :D

It won't lite them up in the last gear even if you red line it and dump the clutch cuz its got like 36 inch tires on the thing.
I thought he was going to trade it off for a 1969 firebird. Thats all set up for drag racing. REMEMBER??

that truck doesnt have the power for that, it's only a 350! and the last i knew 4x4 didnt work, and was missing a gear... oh yea jessee it wont pick up the front end that was probably the frame bending!!! :D

My dad useta have an 81 Chevy 350 4x4. Hauled arse, but not that much. Its nickname was "old blue" too. I always hear the old man saying "shoulda kept old blue"...

I tried buying that truck but he wouldnt sell it. Hows Arlis doing? I was going to buy that gocart he had too but when I went back it was sold

oh wow u know Arlis? i think a few others know him too, i'm best friends with his son thats how i know him. he's trying to restore the truck , he put a new cab on, like a 4" lift, and some 36" swampers, and he has straight pipes off the headers, it's looking alot better than it used to. i think he was trying to sell it before he did all of the work.

Hold up if his name is arlis and your screen name is arlis wouldnt that be you lol? I'm getting a little confused. And there is no way it will light them up in 5th must be in dirt :rolleyes:
