116151116152116155116156:D so I was looking through my cabinet of parts as I was cleaning out my shed and found my old rear caliper off my blaster, I dont remember if it works but, Im sure I can make it work cheaper then I can buy a New caliper. So I got it mounted on the bike, but they only problem is one of the bolt holes matches the stock 87 x caliper mount, So I got one side mounted but I need to make some sort of bracket that goes to the other hole. I need to make like a 3" backet for the other hole, Here are some pics.(sorry bout bad pic quality I was to close when I took them ) FYI: the wall hook is just to hold it in place lol

lol please dont look at my ugly swing arm, also My clutch cable broke again for the 4th time in a year yesterday. so I ripped that stock POS brake/clutch lever off and hacked away the parking brake cable :D so im just going to have a regular lever on both sides. Also im looking at some ASV levers, what kind should I get that goes well with a trike?

The ASV levers aren't made for our 3 wheelers so you can buy an ASV clutch lever that will fit anything for your clutch lever. I bought one from ASV on Ebay that was a refurb for cheap and made it work with a grinder for my 84 Tecate. For the wife's Tecate I bought a Banshee front barake master cylinder, and bought the $160 ASV Holiday Pro Pack that has the clutch lever and perch, and the front brake lever and rotator to mount the Banshee master.

Here is my 84

The real Misfits (w/ Glenn) have been one of my favorites since I saw them in concert the first time. I can honestly say I have never heard the "new" Misfits

So today I got the bracket built but ran into a little problem, there is like a 1" gap from the bracket to where the rear screw goes in.(im going to make some sort of spacer when I get the 2 bolts I need) excuse my bad fab job :o

here is the pics + tools used and material used :D

Blaster rear calipers are mechanical, thats not a stock Blaster caliper.

Where is the front portion for this mount? Both slide pins have to mount to a bracket and then to your swinger mount with the hose guide.

Do the slide pins slide??

You can't find a caliper that will work? This is far too much/unsafe work; There are many calipers that will bolt right on, even from dirt bike front calipers.

I can't understand why you guys mess with brakes; And some claim there trike goes 80 MPH........... Crazy

alls I made was a L bracket, how is that unsafe?? Also why spend money on a caliper when Simple cutting out of some scrap metal will make a free one work? you gona buy me a new caliper?

You didn't answer my question, where is the front slide pin gonna mount? Your bracket just adapts to the rear pin, or appears so..........

You honestly think the one back slide pin is gonna hold it in place??

1st time you nail the brakes it will roll forwards.........

I think your time was worth more than the 25$ a caliper would have cost you in 3WW classifieds.

theres 2 holes drilled out buddy?? there will be both bolts holding it on. Also I just figured out that that was the old front brake caliper on my 200x, If I remember right the blaster brakes were like little circle pads and not hydraulic?

Yes, I mentioned before that all Blaster calipers are cable activated, no hydraulics.

I'm done; I just don't get you and you don't get me. Enjoy your 87 200X "Mad Scientist" fix.....................

its not really a big deal dude, damn. I respect you and all but you dont have to get all grumpy over something as simple as a brake caliper. I would understand if I was wielding something to the frame but im not.

Late model Blaster front brakes..............

I'm not grumpy. I'ts your repair, on your dime and I just like to see things done properly. If I see something that may hurt someone/break/malfuction, I'm gonna tell them.
