It's on speed tonight 8PM EST for anyone that cares.
Reed took out Stewart last week (last lap),so this ought to be a good battle (if they stay on both wheels...)

If Reed pulls any of his bs tonight I hope he gets a beatdown. AMA and the FIM don't care how Reed rides, maybe they'll look the other way when the fight starts. This wasn't the first time Reed has taken Bubba out either. Last time Bubba and Reed got into a fight and the AMA fined Bubba.

SCREW BUBBA and his sissy fans. he pulls the same sht. He closed the door on Chad the lap before and his lapped teammate slowed chad down when all other lapped rider were giving way. Over-rated crybaby. Let him tangle with Ivan again like in the 2nd race. Maybe he'll chase him down again and this time finish the job.You gotta give it to Chad though he's doing it on his own

Haha ludicrous at best.. apparently you need to go back and watch the tape. In that pass Bubba didn't even touch Reed. Over rated?? Anyways.. Chad Reed is a turd at best. If he didn't scrounge the money together to start a team he'd be washing dishes somewhere. When he took out Bubba he was pointing at the berm Bubba was on at a 90 degree angle. He wasn't going to make the turn anyways. It was 100% on purpose. No way for a team owner to act. Ludicrous...

Just so you know where I'm coming from.. apparently I am one of Bubba's sissy fans. haha yeah.. Reed is a has been kind of was. James Stewart is the best. Has Reed ever won akll the supercross races in a season? How about the outdoors? Bubba has.. I guess that was just luck? ludicrous..

Reed absolutely took Stewart out on purpose, he even halfway admitted on the podium. Did you see how pissed Stewarts Dad was after the race. I don't think Chad wants to mess with Bubba Sr.

I'm not a big Bubba fan (mainly because Kawi got him where he is and then he ditched them) or Reed (my Honda complex). I don't think either pass was "clean" and yes Reeds was a lot more blatant. As for tonight, I'm still holding out hope for a privateer on a two stroke to put the factories on there heels and win it all :D...call me crazy, but I can dream right? Bring back the smokers!!! and ease up on the homogilation rules, I would love to see Husqvarna, Maico, Gas Gas and the rest of the small scale brands be allowed to run in the big show

sorry to get your panties in an uproar D.. Their racing for the big$$$ so expect so bar banging. He's a baby and so's his daddy. I'll take Reed, Tadesco, or Windham anyday. It's not that I don't like the guy but he's really an arse in person and stuck on himself. Bubba can stay in Bubba's world where he does no wrong and his farts smell like roses

Honestly, I thought at the time he was a danger to both himself and the other racers. He really knocked himself silly and took 10 times the average time it does to get running again; Even let the bike fall on himself...........
He is good at finding fast lines. He was 3 seconds a lap faster than anyone else on that one section. Then his front wheel a hair off the ground and down he went.
For him to get back up to ninth is amazing, gotta give him something for that....... :beer

I hate to say it but 90% of the field wouldn't have gotten back on. He's gotten where he is because of a work ethic passed down from his father. Malcolm has now picked up the torch and finished 7th I think in the lites after falling down twice.

Bubba is good, one of the best in the circuit right now....villopoto and dungey are gonna be a problem for bubba and reed after they are in the Pro circuit a little longer. But watching Bubba and Reed race is some of the most exciting racing you'll get to see. Neither one could touch Carmichael.....when they raced Carmichael, they were pretty much racing for second place.

The wife and I are going to Vegas to see the finals.. I'm really impressed with Bubba's brother Malcolm in the lites. At Daytona Malcolm finished the main in 7th place, the last race in Indianapolis he finished the Lites main in 4th. He is 6th in the standings. Not bad for his rookie Supercross season.

I gotto disagree, The races I remember watching, Bubba would beat Carmichael every time unless he went down (which was a lot). Carmichael was consistent and didn't crash nearly as much though, winning him more races. As long as Bubba doesn't crash I really believe he is the fastest.

Exactly, Ricky and Bubba are both on another level. Bubba has changed the way the really fast guys are riding though as most fast guys have copied the bubba scrub and are making it a common way to go fast over jumps.

IMO supercross has been alot better this season because of the drama and the agressive riding. It seemed like in the last few seasons that everybody was afraid to make contact with another rider or put a good block pass on somebody. I like to see the top riders getting agressive and going for the win instead of following and hoping for the guy in front to make a mistake. Used to be that the LCQ was one of the best races but now the main events are just as exciting to watch.
dcreel
03-14-2011, 05:38 PM
I agree, but the reason why the LCQ has such good racing is the fact that there is only 2 slots going to the main. I agree that the racing has been exciting this season, and I am a believer in "rubbin is racin". But all bets are off when you blatantly take someone out in a corner.
I did find an awesome video though with Bubba and RC racing..

I love the racing this season. All i can say about the drama is that, James is very fast so fast that he wrecks and wrecks others racing the way he does. That's just his style hard and fast. Reed obviously doesn't like the fact that James would gladly take anybody out to win. The video's of James racing clearly shows that he isn't very fluid but very fast. That's why he makes for good racing. You never know what's gonna happen. I just love it all!

03-14-2011, 08:14 PM
No, i got it right. Haha What I mean is what i said . Bubba is very fast, and in being so he takes chances and makes moves that cause him to wreck or wreck others. Reed like most folks probably does'nt take to kindly to bubba's aggresive do or die riding style. Reed has stuck it too bubba in ways that are obviously intentional, I'm not desputing that at all, but realistically it probably would be kind of annoying if someone chose to make moves that would ruin both of their chanes of winning. Like I said i love it. I like that Bubba is so fast beacuse he can lead a race and throw it away at any second or win it. Reed is without a question a sore loser. Not being as fast as others is no excuse to wreck them intetionally. The rivalry has cause most of the drama so as far as that goes ,it's just entertaining. I miss Ricky putting a whoopin on all of them.

I agree Reed is a little dirty but guys like him and Andrew Short make the racing alot more fun to watch. Its hard not to like Reed with the way he can be so hard to pass sometimes. Just ask Ryan Dungey about that!

It's funny.. you keep saying it, but it doesn't make it true. Reed has taken Bubba out on several occasions in an attempt to pass him. Stewart races hard, and crashes himself because of it. Just as Reed has taken people out in the hope that he will come out a place ahead of where he was. But to say that Stewart is willing to take people out to win is laughable at best. I will agree with you about RC, he definitely upped the abilities of those around him just by being on the track. Carmichael and Stewart have definitely been the best racers (indoors and outdoors). I feel bad for Dungey who doesn't have a chance in hell of keeping his #1 (fluke) plate, unless Reed takes out Stewart, Canard, and Villopoto..
This race.. every time Reed gets a chance he stuffs Stewart.. When Stewart gets a chance to stuff Reed.. he doesn't.. Then Reed grabs him by the neck.. Stewart should have beat his @$$ then..

WRC is freaking crazy! I like the fact that those guys are driving to the very limit. I gotta say that Off Road Dezert racing is my favorite. 900hp, 3ft. of suspension, 130 mph off road is just pure Male Bravado at it's best! Haha! I know Travis Pastrana tried riding the Baja 1000 a couple of times and didn't really do to well. Dezert racing is a completely different animal, not to say that a supercross guy couldn't do it. Just a whole lot longer of a race.

Villopoto Crashed out of the heat and the LCQ, didn't make the main. Bubba won his heat and then crashed with a 5 bike pileup in the first turn (a 90 degree right hander the start funneled into) and had a Kawasaki run over his back in the same corner that Villopoto crashed in. Stewart didn't remount. He was taken off the track on his back. Trey Canard finished first, Reed 2nd, and Dungey 3rd..

He just seems to keep making mistakes then rides faster than the track trying to catch up.

I've always argued the doing away with the OPEN Class limited the sport. Open Class or run what ya brung was a great way for Pro-Am competition. Now the riders only ride 1event...no longer the 2class pro rider. Paychecks have become so large I'm not sure SALES of product have anything to do with the amount. Yes this looks like Reeds Championship to steal, and as a team owner, I'd get Kdub on the backside payoff program. I'd set aside some 22$payola for him to help/block the pack. Ryan and Bubba both have oodoles of speed and Canard is right upthere but can't seem to link it all together in times of need. THe tracks to me have become less entertaining and more dangerous...Look this isn't NASCAR where a guy can walk away from a race pace mistake. I hate to see huge wipeouts because I know and have experanced the pain. As far as RC being a walkaway winner and MX racing becoming boring...I'd say every 5yrs or so there has ALWAYS been 1 guy. MC, RJ, BH, or even guys like DBradshaw who had small solid seasons. Injury is the BIGGIE...I like the addition of the sandpit but dislike the Quad or Triple must do jump out of the corners. The bikes made this happen, brapp and your over it. It also makes the track 1line IMO. 2strokes were way more trickey to put the motor down. Today it's more tire selection and suspension setup, as to feel of the motor to clutch verses dirt and grip. The Slipper clutch is a cheat in the way it ads to any riders ablity. 4strokes can take and less than adverage rider and make them a front runner at any local, if they have the nerve to clear the jumps. To make the racing more interesting they need to picture in picture the race. Speed is TERRIBLE at just showing the front runner the whole race, when all the action is in the midpack. Just look to Speeds 3man reports...Why is the main speaker in the middle with each color comentator to each side??? Shahein turns his back to RC then the next breath he flips and turns his back on Jeff...Have these guys watched Mondaynight football ever? Plus the OLDLADY on the Podium...although good looking for her age(over40), I'd rather see the MonsterEnegry Hottie blunder with que cards. This is nothing but a one phrase question/answer with a list of sponcers to follow. I'd think keeping her around is a huge setback like Ralf mispronouncing riders his frist yr.

Raffa when I was a kid I attended the SilverDome and watch trikes run after the bikes. That was the year David Bailey turned the motorcycles eye on him with his super tech smooth style. Watching the trikes taking on the track was more something to see. I saw one of the worst over the bar yardsales ever that year. It was a triple layer stepup that the bikes useds the top lip as a launch to the next jump while jumping into the face. A guy attempted to do the same on a trike but got out of shape, actually over jumping into the lip...you guessed it! Right over the bars with a flipping 250R heading into the tarpped seats near the corner. The guy jumped up and walked away...took 5 guys to toss the trike back into the arena. Doug Dumokas(sp) the WHEELIE KING did the track on a Honda185 and a bike for halftime that year as well.

I don't know what RC your talking about, I am referring to Ricky Carmichael, But he got out front and ran from everybody including Bubba. Given that if RC would have not retired when he did i think it would have made Bubba a better racer and they would have made for some of the best racing there was. Too bad we were only able to a bit of it.

Maybe thats what "lost hope" does to someone
I bet big James had a field day with little Bubba for that one; What an idiot!
Really, what were his intentions? To him it was probably a game , but the world does not revolve around Bubba, nor does the law.

Life's a reality show...sponcership= image. How does this effect the remainder of the season? Gotta add to the pressure he's already under...Can wait for the next podium question from Erin. Bubba, what were you thinking?:wondering

Even after he was bunny hopping that wall that nobody else could do? At Toronto he finished his heat a half a lap ahead of 2nd place, he had the fastest lap by over a second. It's getting tiring man.. Can you at least bust his chops for something you can prove??

Apparently you have trouble with reading comprehension. Now tell me what the asshattery he pulled off in Florida has to do with his inability to ride and win at the Dallas track?
P.S. You got me man... Boy did you get me with that one..

Well just that he hasn't been perfoming that well lately and now he has this trouble in his personal life going on it could affect the way he rides for dallas. Then again maybe it'll help him by getting him pissed off and riding like he should be riding. I don't think it'll help him, he just can't turn it on and be #1.

I didn't get to watch Dallas but I knew it wasn't gonna be good for Bubba. I'm glad Canard won and RV got second it's really gonna mix things up coming into Vegas.
