johndeere 440 liquidfire

So my buddys dad has an 1980 johndeere 440 liquidfire hes had since new with only 1000 miles on it and the motor was rebuilt like 50 miles ago. been sittin in their barn under a cover for 10 years and this thing is like mint. he said hed sell it to me for $500 and alls it needs is the carbs cleaned. is that a fair price or does anyone think that its to high?

Well, they are a nice sled, I personally loved mine but I paid 50 bucks for it because the kid was an idiot. I think 500 is a little bit high though. I would try to talk hime down a bit, i think 350 would be a fair price seems how it has sat for 10 years.

thats what i thought but hes pretty determined the only thing is tho i would really like to have an old johndeere so im thinkin bout grabbin it
