I just got a Kawasaki Bayou 220 that needs a few electrical parts and can't find where the year and serial # are.

her's where the tag for the year is on an 07 250, same machine they never really changed anything from the 220 to the 250, same engine just changed the name. the seial # should be on the frame right below the shifter i think. tough little machines!

Apparently, on mine it WAS in front of the shifter but was worn off. Comparing pictures and looking at casting dates on the plastics, I figure it to be a 90 or 91. Older than I thought but still in pretty good shape. If only the previous owner hadn't lost the igniter. 280 bucks so far.

Turns out it's a '95. Found a good igniter from a friend for 100 bucks. Plugged it in and bought a new battery. Turned the key on and promptly blew the fuse. Printing out the wiring diagram now.

Put a new fuse in it and it let the smoke out. LOL Time to sort out some wiring. :D
